February 27th, 2010Variety of projectors- take your pick
When it comes to projectors, they are basically categorized into two types, namely CRT projectors and LCP projectors.
CRT Projectors – These projectors are the original and they make use of three lenses for the generation of colour images. Each of the the three lenses are placed on a different axis to focus red, green, and blue images individually. CRT projectors provide the image, which are not only clear, but also close to the screen. Hence, they are commonly used in cinemas and public places.
LCP Projectors – These kinds of projectors produce image with the help of liquid crystal panels. The incoming light screening process is done by filters and reflectors, which split the white light into different colours henceforth illuminating the crystal panels, which in turn is converged onto the focal point of a single lens. These projectors are portable and easy to set up.
Depending upon the type of display technology used, the video projectors are further classified into three types; Standard LCD projectors, Polysilicon LCD projectors, and DLP projectors.
The standard LCD projector uses just one LCD panel glass that regulates three colours. These projectors are losing their grip in the market because a better version of this projector uses three crystal panels. The polysilicon projectors is the advanced version which makes use of three crystal panels and hence produce a high quality image. The DLP projectors are the most common of the lot and work on the mechanism of a DLP chip.
Even though the technology used in the projectors is different, the thing that is common among all is the use of projector lamps. To buy quality projector replacement lamps at great prices, you only need to make a stop at BulbToGo.
Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and Digital Light Processing (DLP) are two different kinds of projector technologies. Both LCD projectors and DLP projectors not only work differently, but also produce different results.
