March 8th, 2010Ceiling Mount Projectors and Tabletop Projectors
Depending upon the installation, there are two main types of projectors: ceiling mount and table top projectors. Both of these projectors have their own advantages and disadvantages.
The advantage of the ceiling mount projector is that it makes the room look neat and tidy. There are no loose wires visible as the projector is fixed on the ceiling wall. It prevents common accidents occurring by tripping and falling off of wires, usually encountered in the case of table top projectors. Being mounted on a ceiling, these overhead projectors are out of reach of children making it hard to meddle with.
On the other hand, mounting a projector on the ceiling would require drilling and making holes on the walls. The cable wires have to be carefully dropped into the wall. That apart, determining a fixed distance between a projector and the screen is also a tedious job. Setting up of a table top projector is much easier than a ceiling top projector.
Installing a table top projector is far easy as one just has to decide a place as to where the projector has to be kept. This portable projector can be shifted as and when required. They can be installed in the room and if the situation demands can also be set up in the garden to have an open air presentation or in the basement for a private show.
Whatever be the type of projectors, the projector lamps are the vital components and have to be handled with care. A wide range of projector lamps are available at BulbToGo suitable for both ceiling mount projectors and table top projectors.

I am thinking about getting a projector,
but my room is 11′by 12′.
There is a fan in the middle of the room.
i plan on mounting the projector from the ceiling (9′ ceiling) along the right side of the room.
the fan hangs down 1′ and the blades extend 2 and half feet outward on each side.
Also are there any specific models i should be looking at for this?
plz and thank u
